Our day started slowly, which was perfect. There was time to relax, have a cup of coffee (or two), catch up on Facebook, and blogs before we got moving for the day.
The units we are in have a hallway behind an exterior door. When we get up, we prop the unit doors open so we can come and go between the units as we please. It's kind of fun to get up and pop next door for coffee, or a snack or just to visit.

Our big plans for the day was to take the kids swimming at one of the pools. Janice, Dad, the girls and I went to the Woodstone Leisure Pool just down the street from our units. Kerrie's family joined us not long after we got there. As we were heading to the car to go, Kylin says to me,
K: Are our cousins going to be there?
M: Yes
K: Oh good, it was going to be boring otherwise.
Thanks kid. ;)
The girls did have to manage for a bit on their own in the pool as the adults manned their lounge chair posts and hoped for a little more sunshine to break through the cloud cover.
Once the boys arrived, it was full fun ahead!
Andrew towing Alora, Kylin and Adam swimming to jump on, too. |
I tried to get a picture of the girls in the pool, but Alora was not cooperating or holding still long enough to get a decent picture of the two of them. So, this is the best of what I got.
Our pool stay was about 2 hours and it went by really fast!
Another trip to the store was next. Janice, Adam, Alora, Kylin and I piled in her car and headed to the trusty Food Lion and Rite Aid for more provisions. It's been like a game figuring out what food we left back at the house in Severna Park. :)
The best game ever. "Poke" your cousin. They play this game a lot! |
Before we all turned in for the night, we wanted to sit down and check out what everyone wanted to do of the many, many, many activity choices here.
Look at that motley crew! |
Great face, Kylin! It might rival Andrew's weevil face. |
Todd "loving" on Adam. :) It was great to hear their laughter! |

Making an organized table is completely appropriate in this situation. It is a Common Core State Standard to know and apply appropriate tools for the situation. I'm practicing what I teach. ;)
As we were working on the schedule, I noticed some darkness on the ceiling of our kitchen. Luckily, we have 2 very tall guys here who could easily touch it. Yup, it was wet. Dad had to call a few different numbers to get a hold of someone to come look at it...at 9 something on a Monday night. Close to 10pm a security man stopped in. He went to get someone else to look at it and then they said they will be back at 8:30 in the morning.
Tomorrow will include a maintenance visit, getting activity cards, mini golf and an evening Zumba class for Kerrie and I. Oh, and I'm setting an alarm to get up at 7:30am. :)
So nice to text with you! :-) We leave for Long Beach in the morning!
