Alora's New Do!

For her 13th birthday, Alora requested getting her hair cut by Nyssa...the best hairdresser ever! I was able to schedule an appointment with Nyssa for 10:45 on the 10th of July. Alora's countdown was on!

While she waited for time to pass, we had her find some pictures of hair dos she liked. She is really into anime right now and wanted something anime-esque with swoopy bangs. We knew she could show the pictures to Nyssa, who would give her feedback about how each cut would or wouldn't work with her hair type.

Nyssa gave her amazing feedback and they came up with a combination of the cuts. Then, it was time to start. Let the cutting begin!

First ponytails are cut off the bottom layer of her hair.

 Alora's hair is was long enough to donate. Nyssa suggested we look into donating it with Pantene Beautiful Lengths because they do not charge for the wigs they make from the donated hair, unlike Locks of Love and others, which do charge the recipient. Once again, who knew?!

It was fun to watch Alora's transformation taking place.

Having your hair blow dried is one of the best parts...after the massage during shampooing that is!

A few touch ups here and there and Alora was done!
