Day 6: Wedding Day Pt. 1

It’s finally here! The day we have been planning for a year is here!

The day began early. I wanted to be at the house by 8:00 to get all the details in place for the 4:00 pm wedding. There was still a lot to do but luckily, I had both of my right-hand people, Tom and Mary. Tom had more signs to place, lights to hang and was in charge of ice…a big job for a hot summer day in Central Oregon. Mary helped me with everything!

Sara and Wayne had a relaxing start to their wedding day. There was some pampering for both of them. Sara started with a hot tub soak, pedicure, hair and makeup before getting ready for pictures. Wayne went with some of the guys for a straight razor shave and haircuts. I think they even sneaked a little lunch out in there.

While they were enjoying their wedding day, here is what I was working on…

The pine cones were all placed on the guest chairs with care. In hopes that family and relatives soon would sit there.
The tables were dressed in their wedding day best.

The cake was delivered and stored for safekeeping, because a little bit later it surely would be eaten. We kept it in Buttercup, nice and cold because moving it to the cake stand too early would be more than a little bold.

The bar held the cups for guests to later fill up.
Another check from the front, it’s looking great! Excuse me being blunt.

The centerpieces were the perfect creation, for they later would draw a lot of attention.

The guest book in its place and waiting to hold visitors’ blessings with grace.

What’s that? You fear we might hear your tummy? It won’t be long before we bring out the food and boy is it yummy!

Our DJ Officiant is ready to spin. Have a request? He’ll be sure to fit it in.
He’s wearing two hats on this special day….
“He’ll do great!” his Mom will say.

Even the flamingos got dressed up for the show. After all, they will be in the front, don’t you know.
There is so much to do and to celebrate. We think this says it all in a way that is great.
On such a special day, we all will hold dear, we remembered the loved ones who couldn’t be here.
The Bride and Groom are all ready and set, but stall them a minute because not everyone’s here yet!
